Emily McCann

Emily McCann the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Curriculum Associates, which empowers educators with tools, resources, and research so they can help every learner grow to their personal best. Previously, she served as CEO of Citizen Schools, and her earlier roles at at the organization included Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and President. During her tenure, she played an instrumental role in launching new regions, building the organization’s infrastructure and regional support structure, and overseeing growth strategy, business planning, and financial management.

Prior to joining Citizen Schools, Emily worked as an Associate in Business Planning and Development for the Walt Disney Corporation. Emily also held positions as a social enterprise fellow with the YMCA and McKinsey Consulting Group and as an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s North American Mergers & Acquisitions Department. She serves on several national non-profit boards including Teach Plus and Good Sports.

Emily graduated cum laude with a degree in English Language and Literature from Harvard University in 1994 and earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1999.

A seven-time marathoner, Emily lives in Needham, Mass. with her husband Sean, a secondary school history teacher, coach and admissions officer and their four children.
